Welcome to "Are Your Students Research Ready?" - Let the Librarians Lead!
This blended learning course will lead teachers and librarians into an exploration of the steps in structuring a developmentally appropriate approach to teaching and doing research. Teachers will examine the structural pedagogy behind content area research. Librarians will examine their role as leaders in the research process.
The goal is to help librarians lead teachers to develop a model of research that will be scalable within their buildings across content areas. Teachers will learn how to engage students meaningfully in the research process and develop the skills needed for college and career readiness.
Librarian leadership will be at the center of learning in this class.
